In 2025, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) updated its PFAS Restriction Dossier, proposing extensive derogations for the manufacture of fluoropolymers. It also issued a guidance for the SEAC consultation on PFAS restrictions, including a detailed draft mapping of uses.
The guidance explains the consultation structure and provides technical instructions for submitting responses. The 60-day consultation is expected to start shortly after the draft opinion is agreed at SEAC's March 2026 meeting. We are here to help.
