Finding a lubricant that can take the heat—or the cold—and provides lasting performance isn’t easy.

Common hydrocarbon-based lubricants rapidly breakdown and fail above 99 °C (210 °F) and below -18 °C (0 °F). Krytox™ lubricants consistently preforms at high and low temperatures, between -60° C to 260° C (-51° F to 500° F), outlasting the competition (see the comparison image).

Temperature Testing:

In one high temperature grease endurance test (ASTM D 3336), most lubricants failed in less than 1,000 hours. Krytox™ greases lasted five times longer, with one grade performing for more than 25,000 hours—the equivalent of almost three years—without failing (see graph below).
