The real solution for addressing per- and polyfluoroalkyl environmental concerns is responsible manufacturing, which emphasizes strict emissions control, end-of-life management, and engagement with our neighbors. The ability to accurately measure emissions is a first and necessary step on the path to meaningful emission reduction, and we are proud of our leadership in this space. Chemours is the first chemical manufacturing company to make a voluntary public commitment to eliminate at least 99% of fluorinated organic compound (FOC) emissions to air and water from our manufacturing processes by 2030. We have made significant progress and investment toward this commitment and have achieved a 59% reduction in FOC emissions through 2023.
